How do I get a Medical Certificate?
Medical Certificates can be provided by your doctor following a consultation, unfortunately, they cannot be backdated. Please try to present early in your illness should you require this service.
Can I contact my doctor via phone or email?
We try not to interrupt your GP during consultations. If our reception staff cannot assist with your query, they will either arrange an appointment or pass on a message for your GP. Urgent matters are managed immediately according to our triage process. Please note that we discourage contacting your doctor by email, as it is not regularly monitored and is reserved for correspondence from medical third parties. If you need advice or have any concerns, please book an appointment via HotDoc or call our practice.
Is it possible to have telephone consultations?
Yes, Telehealth consults are available and can be booked online via our hotdoc or by calling our practice.
How is my confidentiality and privacy managed?
The practitioners adhere to the AMA code of Ethics regarding Privacy and Confidentiality, please be assured that your medical records and consultations are kept in the strictest confidence.
What if I can’t make it to my doctor’s appointment?
Your doctor requires at least 2 hours’ notice for any cancellations. This allows enough time to offer the appointment to another patient who needs medical care. Please note that your doctor will charge a fee for late cancellations or missed appointment’s.
How can I claim my Medicare rebate?
Medicare rebates can be electronically claimed at the time of payment.
Is there an extra cost for overdue accounts?
Yes. An additional $5 fee is charged for accounts not settled on the day of consultation.
